Dyslexia is a learning disability in reading because it affects the ability to accurately decode and process written words, which can hinder reading fluency and comprehension. However, Individuals with dyslexia are often highly creative, with unique problem-solving skills, and a strong capacity for visual and spatial reasoning.
Co-Occurrences
Additional conditions can appear alongside a primary disorder. For example, individuals with dyslexia may also experience ADHD, which impacts attention and organization, or dyscalculia, which affects mathematical reasoning and calculation skills.
